The Tendai Sangha of Australia is connected to the Tendai Hawaii Betsuin and Venerable Ara Ryokan. Our founding Priest is Jiryo Moxon who currently resides in Brisbane Australia. Although a Sangha has yet to be established in other major Australian cities, a student (Jikai) in Sydney is currently being trained in the hope that other Sangha may be established.
At present, Jiryo Moxon sensei teaches on an informal basis. However, attempts are presently in motion to organise a 'fixed and regular' place and time in which practise may be established. Jiryo Moxon is currently running a course on Tendai Shikan meditation or 'Shikan Taza'.
